Older Campy 9, any issues?Birddog

I'm considering the purchase of a used Campy component group c. 2000. I believe it to be the last version prior to the intro of the Campy 9/10 stuff now available. Are there any issues that I should be aware of? The components are in good shape.
Thanks,

I've got a bike equipped with 1999 Chrous 9 and I really like it. I actually think some of the part designs are better than the new stuff (chain) and many of the parts seem to be polished to a better finish (hubs).

The only issue you will have is getting new parts once the older equipment wears out. Shifters can be easily and affordably upgraded but if the derailleurs wear out you'll need to buy the newer design and change the cog in the shifters to match.

I'd buy it if you're getting a good price.
