... in terms of performance, not in terms of weight. Also, for front hub, which one do you recommend, DA, chorus, record ?

Thanks,

There are three D/A items that I think are better than Ultegra..Dave Hickey

1. STI Levers- much smoother shifting
2. Brakes- Outstanding stopping power
3. Hubs- I have over 15,000 miles on a set of DA hubs. They are absolutely bullet proof. In all honesty, I've never kept Ultegra wheels for more than a couple of thousand miles, so they might last as long as DA, it's just the DA hubs are totally worry free.

Yes ... I'ved used both.

DA hubs are lighter and spins smoother. I also like the DA freehub ratchet which is much quieter.
Is Cindy Crawford(DA) better than Pamela Anderson(Ult)?Quack

DA is a little lighter and more refined. Ultegra is a touch heavier and not as polished. Go with DA if you have the $$. You won't be disappointed.

Personally I think Pamela Anderson is more beautiful, although she looks quite like a b*tch...
