700 x 18/20 tubes for 700 x 23 tire, problem?Uprwstsdr

I was buying some gear and clothes, ask for tubes and didn't pay attention at the shop. Got home and noticed that the tubes were 700 x 18/20. I have Vittorio Open Corsa TT tires 700 x 23. Are these tubes ok or should I exchange them?
Yes to both.Eager Beagle

They will be fine, just stretched a tiny little bit thinner than the norm. I run the 23s on 25 with no probs at all, and even have some 23's on a 28 cross at the moment.

That being said, if you don't need them in a hurry, take them back and change them anyway, to be sure.
I've had undersize tubes leak at the valve seam.Exchange themnmPaul

We used to have 13 bikes in the family (down to seven now), with tires from 700x19-40 on the roadies and 26x1.25-2.3 on the MBs. For simplicity, I bought only 700x20 road tubes and 26x1.5 MB tubes for about 10 years. I never had a problem I could trace to that. They stretch to fit
Thank you all, they shall be exchanged this weekend.Uprwstsdr
