|Vittoria Open Corsa CX tires....Max PSI??||WiscoFever|

I'm getting two different answers for the max psi for these tires. Vittoria's website (and various other places)says 7-12 Bar (100-180psi), whereas on the tire (same darn tire) it says 7-9 bar (100-130psi). Who do I trust?? I want to get the least rolling resistance possible for my upcoming 40k Time Trial(WI/IL state TT).

|I have been using the open corsa cx for my rear tire about a year now. The the web site I buy tires from had the max pressure listed at 160 psi. I have been riding at 160 the entire time.
I noticed the max pressure listed at 130 psi other places a couple weeks ago and have become worried about the 160. I have been going up to 140 psi lately. I have not had any problems with running them at 160 though.

|... if you're talking about a clincher, you need to think about the rim strip/tape and even the rim itself. 180 psi sounds like asking for trouble to me.|

|I ride on those tires and I wouldn't recommend any more than 140. I use 140 for a smooth course, or 120 if bumpy, but I try not to go lower than 110 because I'm a big guy and can pinch flat easily. If you inflate beyond 140 you risk being one of those guys whose tire explodes on the start line.|
