I learned that Look CX-7 pedals have faults and are not sold in Europe. Look keeps quiet about this issue and doesn't make a general recall since pedal business is their biggest source of revenue, and as such, admitting the faults would hurt their business badly. You can still see the pictures of the pedals but are usually out of stock. In other words, they are quietly withdrawing the products from the market. BUT they are still shipping them to the Japanese market!!! I confirmed this with a Japanese company that solely imports Look products. In fact, I can buy a brand new pair even at a lbs in a small town where I live. What is going on? Are our lives cheaper than those of the Europeans'? Can you get them in the States? I think this is a serious issue that is worthy of addressing here. Why should someone pay by one's life for the bad design Look made?
so what's wrong with them? nmDougSloan

I don't know exactly what is wrong with them, but I am checking on it. But I heard it from an European bicycle distributor. Has anyone in this board recently bought a pair of CX-7?

The axel sheared of at the thickest part on the right pedal. Veltec sports sent me a complete new set(with all parts). I really loved the pedals, but i'm still having a hard time putting the new ones on.
