I picked up a pair of Look 247's yesterday, the instructions say to adjust in the (+) direction for less tension, and the (-) direction for more tension. This seems really counter intuitive, I would have assumed that - would make it easier to release. I just wondered if anyone could confirm this.

not sure, but I do know clockwise increases the release tension.

The instructions are wrong, Plus (+) increases tension.

Try it out and see.

Yep, their instructions are wrong. I bought two pair of Look 396 from (for the price of one pair via US based ecommerce sites) and the instructions were the same. I understand "un peu de francais" and "uno pocito d'espanol" and saw that the french and spanish translations say + to increase tension, - to decrease tension, but the english translation was opposite. I posted on several bulletin boards and was advised + to increase tension. I wrote to Look via their internet website mailing address. About 2 weeks later I got a simple message that stated, yes, our translation is wrong, + to increase tension, - to decrease tension. They also told me how many turns from full loose to full tight, but the email is at work and I'm at home.

Thanks for the help, if you could send the # of turns info on as well that would be great.

btw, I speak some german, and it turns out that the info in german is incorrect as well. Maybe the people at Look like to see Americans & Germans fall? :)
