|Easton carbon bar / stem compatibility||bcm119|

|I was told at my LBS yesterday that Easton's EC90 carbon bars are compatible with either a 25.8 or 26.0 stem clamp diameter (the bars are 26.0). I can't imagine 0.2 mm would make much difference, but I still wonder if a less-than-perfect curvature of the clamp would eventually stress the carbon bar. Anyone have any bad experiences using a 25.8 clamp?|

|the two sizes can be used interchangeably.
I measured my EC-90 bars before mounting them in a 25.8 dia. stem. I found that actual diameter of the bars varied between 25.8 and 25.9mm diameter.
I've used these bars with an ITM Millenium stem and a Ritchey WCS, which are both advertised as 25.8mm.
