Speaking of do they sound?lnin0

I was out riding my stock Campy wheels today when I realized how much I love the loud Campy freewheel over the quieter Shimano sound.

Having just ordered a set of Ksyriums I am wondering if anyone can tell me how the Mavic freewheels sound -- am I going to miss that distictive Campy sound?
Louder than Ultegraspookyload

I just purchased my foul weather wheels that have Ultegra hubs, and was also suprised how quiet they were. I use the 2001 Ksyriums, and they have a definite louder sound. Not as hollow sounding as the spinergy wheels I use on my mountain bike, but fear not...the wheels are plenty loud.

My 2001 K's are quiet when I coast. Is the freewheel supposed to click?
around as loud as Campy, you'll miss nothingweiwentg

not as loud as CK, though. I once heard a recording of the CK freehub. it sounded like a sci-fi laser beam at full blast. the Mavics are less loud than Hugi, and around as loud as Campy (I've heard all 3 in action).
My 2002 Ksyrium Sl s are loud like the concord taking offOld_school_nik

Put a baseball card in the spokes like when you were a kid.

Haha! I'd pay cash money to see USPS team in full
regalia with all of their bikes rigged with playing
cards in the spokes. "Intimidate the opposition".
I bet it would sound like a B-29 taking off.
Not clear on the conceptgrzy

You're supposed to pedal your bike. When you pedal it shouldn't make noise. If your bike is making noise and you're not pedaling then you're going slow. Slow. Slow. Slow. Slow.

My advice is to get some Chris King hubsets - you'll love 'em.

Hey, you aren't one of those guys driving a rice-burner with the really loud exhaust are you?
