shift/brake cable compatability for campy ergogamara

I bought a set of chorus ergo levers but they didn't come with any cables. I was wondering if the dura ace cable set is compatible with these levers. Also would there be any compromise on performance? I welcome all opinions.

If you bought the levers new, you got screwed. They should come with cables.

You can get a complete set of campy brake and shift cables for $35 from excel sports.

Just buy good quality stainless steel cables and you should be all set. The DA cables will (probably) work just fine.

The one thing to be aware of is that some people claim that the heads on Campy shift cables are slightly smaller than others, and so other shift cable heads can get stuck in the hole and be difficult to remove.

If you find that the DA heads fit very tightly, it's probably worth sanding them down lightly until they fit well--a little grease probably wouldn't be amiss either. Then seat the heads and cable the bike up.

The one thing you surely WILL need is a set of shift cable housings to run from the levers to the downtube or headtube stops; the Shimano cables run out in the breeze instead of along the bar, and so the housings are somewhat shorter.
