Can anyone offer advice or insight on a front Derailleur shifting problem? This past May I changed out my Ritchie 53/39 chainrings (on a 110 bcd Ritchie crankset) for 50/36 TA Syrus chainrings and have had nothing but trouble up shifting from the small to large chainring. A trusted mechanic at my LBS did the install which involved lowering the DA fr derailleur. I also have brought the bike back for a tuneup to address this problem with limited success. Even though the TA rings are pinned, upshifts are difficult at best and only possible fully unloaded and in the 17 cog or smaller.

Thanks,

Sam

That derailleur is designed to work with a 53 or 52 big ring and a 39 inside ring. My guess is that your 36 is just too small and too far from the derailleur for good shifting. Why don't you try a 38 inner ring from TA.
Also, you need to get the outside cage plate down to about 1mm from the big ring.
Like I said this is just a guess, since I haven't tried it.
