Where is a website to get tools at reasonable price?pa rider

I'm looking for a Park tool that helps aid the mechanic for toeing mtb brake pads. It's the BT-3 model. My LBS uses it to fix my bent rotor on my Avid disc brake. I find it for $11 on most websites, but couldn't remember if I saw any of you guys/gals post some other websites.

Thanks,

Emory

You can probably find it a couple of dollars cheaper online than at your LBS, but then you've got to pay shipping and wait four days. Why not just get it at the LBS, give the guy some business and maybe he'll still be there next time you need something.

thanks cory. I only ask becuase it america. I like to look at options. My LBS may forget to order me the tool also.

I bought a 2002 jekyll off the lbs and told him to get me a sport rack (has arm to hold jekyll bike on rack instead of clamp). I confirmed with two other employee in two weeks that did he order the part. I get "yes" for the reply and at three weeks the manager goes "Did you wanted me to order one". I've been busy and forgot to order".

Myself and five other jekyll buyers are waiting on these sport racks. He did the same thing to me last summer. Took six weeks to get a part that should have been delivered in 2 weeks. He forgot to place the order.

Lucky for me I can go to one of the other six bicycle shops, who supports our road club, to get parts and tools. At least when they make an order I get it in 1 week time.

I posted the question because I wanted to see if Performance price are what the park tools sell for at every other website.

Thanks,

Emory

biketoolsetc.com has a super selection of bike tools. Not necessarily the lowest prices, but tons of stuff an LBS would never carry in stock.

Thanks Shad. I was lucky enough that one of the bike shops did have the tool in stock. He didn't even know he had one in stock. He had to blow the dust off before selling it to me.

Seems like every time I buy some new bike or fancy part you need a special tool. I bought some Ksyrium 2002 ssc sl and you need to use a special wrench to true the wheels. That's what I get for buying these fancy toys.

Have a safe holiday man.

Went to biketoolsetc, they have an english/metric measuring
tape for $2.50. The metic scale is invaluable for setting up a bike.
It is one of the best tools I own.

I see what you mean. I can easily spend $30 on tools on that site. Just bought a three way trek alien wrench 4, 5, 6 straight blade for $7 at my lbs. Saw the better model made by Park, with ball points, for $4.95. That tool goes for $18 in the LBS shop.
