|I am trying to purchase the 2001 Ksyrium Wheelset. Can anyone tell me where I can find new ones online? I was considering the 2002 SL's but I here that the older model is stronger? I am a 210 lb rider so this is a big consideration for me. Is the Elite model a possibility?
Your advice is appreciated.

|Your only hope is used or some bike shop that has the old ones. Im 195 lbs and will be getting 02 SSCs soon. I tried looking for '01s b/c I thought I would find someone who was trying to get rid of old stock and be willing to cut a deal. No luck! I had trouble even finding the '01s used anywhere. I guess that speaks volumes about the K's - the ones that are out there are still in service and their owners are not ready to part with them yet.
I have not heard that the '02s are any weaker. I have not heard of any failures. If you are really bent on the old rims, get yourself the elites and save a bunch of cash. The only downgrade youll be making are the steel vs zicral spokes. The only complaint Ive heard about the new rims is that it was "crude" of mavic to mill out the rims. I personally wonder how easy they are to clean after riding through this upcoming winter....

The front wheel is $250 the rear is $315. That's a bargain in the US. You can geta similar price on 2002 SLs by shopping overseas.
