Road Tires for rough roadsAvidrider

Short of using cyclocross tires, what are some good suggested tires to use on rough or gravel roads that will still clear my Dura Ace brake calipers?

I live near a national forest with access to hundreds of miles of dirt roads. I've ridden my mountain bike up there for years, but when I bought my Atlantis, I put the (Grant-recommended) Panaracer Paselas on it, and I'm really happy with them.
I used 700x35s, which probably won't fit your DA, but the 32s might make it. They measure 25mm wide on my rims (the alleged 35s are actually 30mm). If you aren't too heavy, so you can let the pressure down a little, they're cushy, fairly light and fast on pavement and pretty stable (I weigh 230, and I can use 70psi in the 35s most places).

I have used the Pasela Tour Guards on my mountain bike when I did not have a road bike and they were very good - no flats!!

I use them on my commuting bike and they wear well, handle well on all kinds of terrain and roll adequately. They've been around long enough that you can be certain they are pleasing somebody!

At least that size isn't listed on Conti's website. Could it be that they made it at one time, but don't anymore? They make the Sport 1000 in a 28, but it's a 350g tire!

Excel Sports do carry them in 28c on their website and have ordered them as I currently use the Ultra 2000 in 20c and 23c

I've used the 700x23 as training tires and occasionally wonder of into fields and the dirt roads that surround them. Not sure if they make a 25cc but if they do, it will do pretty well. They have a tread design that will allow for more traction on the dirt.

These tires handle pothole riddled NYC streets very well.
