|I'm looking at purchasing some Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels and have one final question vefore taking the plunge.
At 6'1" and weighing app. 200lbs are these wheels strong enough for me or will I need to get the wheels trued regularly?
Any help much appreciated.

|Do yourself a favour and go hand built. You will be able to build a stronger, lighter wheel plus it will cost you less.
Just my suggestion however,

I would read some of the product reviews on these wheels because everything I read says there are strong as any wheels out there.
Before I bought mine, I had the same concern. In Central Park, NYC I regularly talked to many people who ride them who weigh more than 200 pounds and nearly all raved about them - I bought a pair, and weigh 195, havn't put too many miles on them, but I haven't had to true them either.

|Save your money and buy handbuilt wheels. Ksyriums look cool and your friends will be impressed but you could do alot better for the money. If you want to call me we could discuss some good options for you. 720-652-0498, leave a message if I do not answer.

|i would so dont get them. If you live near a talented shop they can build you a beautiful set of lightweight wheels for less than ksyrium elites. They might be durable but they arent lightweight.|| |
