Star nut on Ouzo pro CF steerer?Psychler

I have to install my Ouzo Pro fork, carbon fiber steerer...Can I use the "usual" star nut for the cf material?

This is a topic that's been covered extensively here. The star nut will gouge the finish and cut into the fibers, eventually leading to a catastrophic failure. The fork should have shipped with an expansion nut. If not, profile makes one. Besides, a standard star nut wouldn't hold in a carbon steerer anyway.

Reynolds has special nut for the fork, and have serious warnings about using other nuts.

If you have to ask this question, you probably shouldn't be installing the fork yourself. Go pay a shop w/ a professional, competent mechanic who will do it right the first time.

Of course not all shops have professional, competent mechanics, but that is another thread. But hopefully there is a pro-level shop in your area.
