|My wife wants her first MTB cycling shoes (wants to use Speedplay Frog pedals). Should she steer toward "women's" shoes or would "men's" shoes fit as well? Any recommendations on brands and models? Thanks!|

|It really depends on fit and the shape of her foot. Personally, I find women's shoes to be too small through the toe box and am much more comfortable in men's cycling shoes. My road shoes are Sidis and very comfortable- I've heard that their mtb shoes are equally good. I also use Diadora Jalapenos for mtb and commuting.

|Women's shoes are simply too narrow in the forefoot for me. She'll only need to look that way if she has a particularly slender foot.
Other than that, it is a bit of a trial and error routine. Diadora is great for its breadth of models and price range. Sidis are fine shoes but offer nothing in the bargain department. Northwave and Carnac both run QUITE roomy, perhaps too roomy for some women.
