|On which side of the downtube should the cable from the right lever to the rear derailleur enter the downtube?
Left or right?

|My '97 QR has it entering on the right side same side as the shifter. That's the way it came.|

|Right side is correct. Friends of mine go left and have the cable come out the right hole at the bottom of the frame. Why? It actually makes the cable housings stand off the frame so you don't have cable rub marks on your frame.|

My Klein came with the right side in / right side out routing, too.
But when I need to replace the cables some day, I will try the left side in / right side out routing because it seems to me that this could result in less cable bending.
(Cable rub is not a problem because I placed transparent stickers on the areas concerned.)
