any thoughts on the supergo deal of $399 for a gt road frame? my fuji is too big but i think all ultegra components will fit on smaller gt

thanks

I have he ZR 2.0 which is basically the same frame, made of a slightly lesser grade of aluminum if I'm not mistaken. I have about 3000 miles on mine and I think you wont find a nicer frame for 399, it was ridden in the tour last year. I paid 1250 for my complete bike with ultegra late last summer. I just ordered a Look 381i, plan on keeping the GT because it is a criterium machine, nice and stiff. I have put many rides of 70 plus on this, and it seems ok, but that opinion may change after riding my new bike. good luck

I have a ZR 1000 (same frame, but the 1st gen) and I absolutely love the bike. I've got about 2 seasons of racing and training on it and it's doing fine. Stiff but still comfy, imo, for alu. I was actually contemplating getting another frame to slowly build up as the present one gets beat up but ran out of funds :( Damn taxes.

The only thing that would concern me is the fact that there's no support if there's a problem with the frame or if you need a replacement rear derailleur dropout. A friend used to rep GT so I picked up a spare dropout from him.

In short, if you want a stiff, tight geometry crit machine on a budget, definitely get one!
