|Powder coating is an extremely durable method of painting that gets baked on, and they say it actually gets into the metal and becomes part of it. Don't ask me how, I'm no expert. But I have seen a powdercoated tube bent in half without the paint being affected (as if it were part of the metal). Because of the process though you are limited to design; you can do more than one color but no clean lines, mostly fades and the like. I prefer single color. The quality is excellent with a beautiful clear coat. Consult a frame builder or painter for more technical info.
