Mavic Ksyrium vs. Rolf Vector Pro(2 posts)

Mavic Ksyrium vs. Rolf Vector ProVimalakirti
May 4, 2002 4:06 PM
I ride a 2001 Cannondale R600, and after repeated problems with the back wheel, the CXP 21/CODA wheelset finally has to go. I'm interested in the two aforementioned: I know both the Ksyrium and the Vector Pro are great wheels, and I'll probably get 20 different answers--but what are the pros and cons between the two? If it makes any difference, I'm primarily using this bike for duathlons, so aerodynamics might be an issue. I'm 6'2", 170#, and I ride the bike on very flat terrain, kind of windy conditions, plenty of potholes (i.e., Chicago, IL).

Kysrium, without question. Aerodynamics and weight are probably nearly identical. But the sturdy design of the aluminum spokes on the Kysrium is unbeatable. Admitedly I am an unbeleiver in the paired spoke technology. My 2 cents.
