considering a carbon aero seatpost... either the USE or the Giant/MikeBurrows. Anyone with any experience using these? Flexy? I hear that the USE with its fancy head is difficult to setup. Any recommendations? thanks

I've had 2 Mike Burrows posts on 2 different Giant TCR's. One was a 01 model, the second is a 02 model. The 02 model is a bit lighter than the 01 because they swapped out some metal bits for plastics. To be honest, I haven't noticed a difference in weight or function.

Performance? It's a seatpost. I found it easy to setup and install my seat. Did not notice any flex on either the 01 or 02, I weigh in at 160lbs.

I'm not sure about the aero benefits of the seatpost, but since it came with the bike, I won't replace it until it breaks or gets damaged. And when that happens, I will replace it with a USE Alien.

i would never even think of dropping 170$ on the USE. thats stupid.

USE head is hard to setup if you have the IQ of a monkey maybe. I dont know about flexy, i've never owned a flexy seatpost on my roadbike. a 250mm post would have to be real thin to flex

I'm going to the USE Alien Aero because it looks like I can get the setback on it that I use (5cm; I could only get 3cm with the standard Alien). If it doesn't work, I'm going to stick with my Thompson Setback. The only reason I'm going to the Alien is cosmetic--and a price break.
