|So I've been looking around for a new pair of bottle cages and I saw these in this image from the March issue of Cycle Sport magazine (pg 46). They look very functional, relatively lightweight and pretty darn sexy, don't you think?
Anyway I haven't been able to determine what brand/model they are or where I could buy some. Can any of you "stuff-junkies" out there (you know who you are) help me? If so, you'll be my hero for the day!
For those of you who are curious, the rider is Jonathan Vaughters and the photo was taken during the 2002 Tour Down Under.

|They are the new Tacx Tao water bottle cage http://www.tacx.nl Could not find any stateside and after a lengthy Google search, I found them on a website in the UK. http://www.fisheroutdoor.co.uk/public/replace.shtml?p="/public/prod.msql";s="?220"
But it looks like they took down their ordering option. Hmm, doesn't look good for me as I ordered them 3 weeks ago and haven't seen them yet. Guess it's time to email them.

|Spoke too soon. I found the correct link to the store selling the Tacx Tao. http://www.cyclesmart.co.uk/products/prodpage.msql?B699BK
You have to create an account before you can order. I still have to email them though.

Thanks so much! I should have thought to check Tacx's website. I forgot about that company.
Well, I went right to Cycle Mart's website, registered and ordered a pair of the Tao's in black and a pair in silver. I'm impressed that they're so light (37 grams). Even if they weren't I would have bought them anyway. I guess that makes me a fashion victim, but who among us doesn't get excited about simple things that make our bikes more beautiful?
It sounds like you've been waiting a while for yours. I hope there isn't a problem. I saw something on their site that said they try to get you your order within 21 days and if they don't they will try to contact you. Maybe it's still traveling over on a big ship! Are you located in the U.S.? (I'm in Boston, MA).
Thanks again and as I said in my original post, you're my hero for the day!

|I have ordered some stuff from them before. I too was about to email them and ask where in the hell my stuff was when it finally showed up just shy of the 21 day promise. So, chances are it is on its way.

|from Arundel Bicycle Co. in Ft. Worth if I remember. They were $40 each, and weight is 22-24 grams. Came with aluminum bolts too. Nice carbon fiber piece. Holds the bottle quite well.|| |
