|Does anyone out there know of a high end cassette that can be used with the USCF's required junior gearing (max gear of 14 teeth). The ONLY cassette I've found has been a Tiagra and I really do not want to put a Tiagra cassette on my Ultegra and D/A bike.|

|It's typically easier to get a smaller chainring, I think (but you'd have to double check) that a 48t is the one you need- QBP sells them exclusively for this purpose.|

|I tried that but I usually race with the Cat 4 adults so I get droped on the downhills simply beacause I do no thave a high enough gear. Thanks for the advice though, I will probably do that for the Junior Nationals.|

|Shimano makes a 14-25 in 9-speed Ultegra. It can be ordered through your LBS. Or you can convert an existing cassette by ordering a 14 with built-in spacer from www.sheldonbrown.com and add other cogs as needed to get back to 9. I think the first option is actually cheaper unless you have extra cogs lying around. For my wife I converted a Dura-Ace 12-25 to a 14-28 using Sheldon Brown's 14 & 28 and a 16 out of an XTR cassette. Works great and it's very light.
