I'm 5'11" and 178 and mine is holding up quite well after a couple of thousand miles. It's a very robust frame, designed for bigger riders.
Look at the Ovalmaster as wellSlipstream

The Ovalmaster is very popular in Europe and is a much better frame for heavier riders.
much better than the MXL?ColnagoFE

I doubt it. The MXL is plenty stiff for bigger riders. In fact I can't think of a stock bike other than maybe some of the stouter Mercxk bikes that would be as ni Personally for TI I'd go American, but I haven't really heard anything bad about these. Have heard a rumor that you can get a house brand bike made by the same factory from Excel sports that is nearly identical to the Ovalmaster for much less $. CHeck it out:

I have a 62cm MXL (2000) and love it. Best ride to date. nice and stiff for us bigger riders (195 lbs 6'2"). Compared to my Bianchi Eros (similar frame to your Veloce) the MXL will be MUCH stiffer so make sure that's OK.
