|I want to be able to remove the chain to clean it but I don't want to buy a Permalink each time at $18.00 a copy. I don't want to buy the $55.00 tool either. I was wondering if anyone had experience with the Superlink on a 10 spd Campy setup.

I've noticed Excel Sports
sells a Wipperman 10-speed Nickel Connex Chain that comes with a Superlink for $29.95. No Permalink to deal with and no expensive tools. The Superlink works identical to the Sram/Sacks Superlink. I hope this helps.

|Have 2 in servcie at the moment. Maybe 2000kms on one & 500 on the other. Haven't inspected them for wear recently (propably should) but they appear to be fine. I race on one of them & have had no problems.
I still clean & lube the chain on the bike but use them mainly for convenience (rebuilds) and carry one on rides for repairs.
Picked both up from Branford. They were out of stock for a long time due to a redesign from Craig /Forster. Actually the older design seems to have finer tolerances (the newer one has a bit of lateral movement between pin & plate).

|I have two. One on the 10sp road bike about 2K miles no problems. On occasion I like to mash when I climb standing and when I get near the top I'll shift to a smaller cog yet, while standing.
The other one is on my cross bike, this is a 9sp about 500 miles no problems.
It's a pleasure to remove the chain wipe it down lube it install it, all in about 5 minutes.
I also got them from Branfordbike.com.
