Last I heard you couldn't get anything of this guys work outside of Europe but it's the lightest stuff you can get. Ulrich uses one of the Lightness saddles on the mountain stages though. Take a look at the bottom of the page on this link.

Yup. They can't be ordered from the US as they have elected not to comply with US product liabilty standards. Having said that, I'm still trying to figure out how to get one.

After having many conversations with the man himself it has become evident that there is only one way to get one. Firstly, they do not have production capabilities to keep up with their own German demand. So, you can fly over to Germany and still not be able to get one. You will need a friend over there to order and pay for one and wait for delivery. Then, that person can ship one over.

There is almost no need now though. Selle Italia has come out with a non-covered Flite that is very close to the same design. I think it's the Flight TT, could be wrong on the model. It is not quite as light but easy to get, much cheaper and in the same ballpark. I think Axel's seat would run you over $300 US plus all the trouble.

I emailed Axel in early feb asking if he had decided to sell to the US yet and he emailed back asking what I wanted. I ordered the 89g Endurance Comfortline a few days later. At the time he estimated 6-7 weeks wait. I am of course still waiting. He doesn't cash the check until ready to ship and accepts US$ denominated checks - So if you don't mind a long wait they are available. Hopefully mine will show before summer. I got the carbon ahead cap too and the whole mess came to $230 shipped.

BYW, the flite TT is around 165g, the SLR unpadded is 125g and the flite evolution is about the same +-8%. Selle Italia uses Ti rails for all their light saddles so they are never going to get much lighter than those.
