Columbus Carve vs. Muscle fork(3 posts)

Columbus Carve vs. Muscle forkKurtVF

I ordered a Carve(alloy tube) but they sent me the Muscle (CF tube) and charged me for the Carve(the Muscle is about $110 more) I may be stuck with the muscle, but still have reservations about the limpness of a 1" CF tube in a 58 cm frame. I weigh 195 and want a stiff front end to balance my stiff aluminum frame. Anyone my size use a Muscle fork? Is it stiff enough?

I have a Muscle fork and am very pleased with the ride and quality of manufacture. Is is the same rake as the fork you originally ordered? If so, and if you are not going to have over 25mm of spacers under your stem. I would definetly stick with the Muscle, especially considering you got such a good deal.

Good luck!

I think the Carve and Muscle are both 43 mm. The Muscle is a work of art.
