Would Mavic Gel 280 rims, 36 hole Dura ace front and rear 9sp hubs with db spokes hold up in a racing application for a 148lb rider. I know the front would - how about the rear?

I used Mavic Gel 280's for 3-4 years with no problems. I weighed about 195 lbs.

Ed Zimmerman also!

Sorry to be criptic.

Those wheels should be fine. My only comment is to go with 14/15's on the drive side rear where stress is high and Revolutions on the non-drive side rear where tension is super low.

Good luck.
