Will a "connex" link from a Wipperman 10 speed chain work on a Campy 10 speed chain. Sounds like the perfect solution to the permalink since it cost about 5 bucks and goes on and off without tools.

My understanding is that the link is designed for their chain. I'm using the wipperman chain now and asked Excel some questions about replacement links and was told that you could join the chain normaly. An article on Campy only stated that chains should not be joined this way. It's pretty new so I doubt much info exists. Their website is up but in German only.

If you try it please report back. I'm curious and I'm sure others are also.

I bought this Superlink III from Branford Bike. I haven't tried it, but carry it in my tool bag in case the chain breaks.

powerlink vs superlinkweiwentg

having used SRAM's powerlink AND wipperman's superlink, I feel that the powerlink is easier to engage/disengage. the wipperman link is a bit big, and the adjacent links get in the way when I try to engage/disengage it sometimes. however, that's a minor inconvenience. both work perfectly well.
