650c wheels compatible with stationary trainer?Major Taylor

I have an old Blackburn trainer and I tried to mount my wife's new WSD Trek with 650c wheels into it and cannot get the wheel to contact the mag unit. Is this a problem with all trainers or only mine because it is an older unit?

I'd guess newer trainers have more adjustability, especially if they're higher end.

I've mounted a friend's 650C bike on my newer Minoura, with good contact, and she has a Cateye Computrainer, which works well, but is nearing the end of the adjustment range with her wheels.
Looks like a chance to upgrade...

I just put a spacer (thick aluminum washer I had laying around) between the unit and the next piece, against the adjustment bolt, that is used to adjust the unit up and down to get mine to go high enough. Works great for my 650c wheels, just takes a bit of care to line it up.
