What do you know about Ti frames??

I'm trying to decide between a Bill Holland 4 year old Ti frame with a similar vintage Merlin RSR Ti frame - both going for approx. US$850 or NZ$2000 Both seem to have a good reputation, with Bill Holland being a fairly low profile (San Diego) custom frame maker.

I am concerned about getting a frame that is too flexible.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks

Go with the Holland. He has a great reputation as a small builder of quality ti. The Merlin RSR was an attempt to cut costs from the Merlin Road frame with sometimes disasterous results. The RSR had quite high (for ti) failure rates at the chainstays.

This was a Holland Ti frame at Vegas.
The complete bike only weighs 10.5 pounds.
I guess you can't be but about 100 pounds to ride it.
