Has anyone ever had this happen. It was the front wheel, I tightened it and seems fine now. Should i put some type of thread lock??
No, but fixable.cyclequip

Back the nipple off a bit and use loctite on the threads - then tension and let it set. The threads are coarse so be careful truing.

I had it happen on my rear wheel after truing it up from a wreck. Darn thing wouldn't stay put so I used BLUE loctite. Do not use RED - it has a much stronger bond and you may be screwed in the future. BLUE is designed to be loosened.
THANKS for the help, I went out and bought some(nm)James

Mavic uses loctiteEric_H

I am in the process of rebuilding a damaged Ksyrium front clincher. When I unlaced the rim I found Mavic had used a very liberal amount of blue loctite. I plan to do the same when I rebuild

BTW, the awkwardness of the Mavic spoke tools and high tension makes this a very slow rebuild.
you mean pastie, right?bart
