Campy 9 spd convert to 8 spdthedrk1

I am using a full Campy Record 8 spd group and would like to use the new carbon ergo levers.(Yes, I want the look)
In other words I want the new levers converted to 8 spd. I could upgrade the spacing, deraileur, hub, cassete, chain and chainring to 9 spd, but just changing the levers is cheaper and easier if it is possible. Is there a way to make the 9 or 10 spd lever into an 8 spd lever? This is of course the opposite of what most people are doing to upgrade, but it would be less expensive. This is more a lateral upgrade for asthetics, not a performance upgrade.

I have already searched Branford website and was not clear about this particular situation.

It's fairly straightforward. www.branfordbike.com sells the necessary parts and/or will do the work for you--apparently it's a fairly common conversion.

Basically you need the 8sp ratchet piece. While your there may as well change the springs.
