Alternative 10 speed campag chainBOB J

Can anybody out there suggest an alternative to a 10 speed campag chain. On my first real outing with my new C-Record the chain snapped in a race. Did loads of damage to my rear mech, frame and wheels. I don't trust this chain any more. Is there an alternaive out there that will work?

Wipperman chains in stainless steel and nickel plated steel versions are now available from Excel Sports.

Others may recommend using a DuraAce chain or an even wider SRAM 9 speed chain, but I wouldn't. The SRAM chain is just as wide as a campy 9 speed chain. Campy wouldn't design a new, narrower chain if the additional clearance wasn't needed.

I have about 700 miles on the nickel version. I haven't raced on it yet but have been on several fast group training rides on it with no problems. Racing doesn't start up until March. Took about 100 miles to break in but it shifts as well as the Campy chain now. It's super easy to remove making cleanups much easier. If it lasts I'm not going back.

Excel has them or your LBS should be able to order for you. About 30 bucks for nickel version or 50 for the stainless.
I don't think the chain is the problemKurt

it's the permalink - just hook the chain up direct w/ a chain tool - also sounds much better. I have broken 4 @ the link - I toss the chain after 2.5 now. good luck!
