have you seen this hanger??gutterball

I live in a small town in Southwest Colorado...My problems all started when I bought a New Zealand made bike in Australia (Avanti). Last year I bent the derailuer hanger and have been on a search ever since. The tube-set is Kinesis Aluminum, I'm not sure where the drop-outs are from, This bike was assembled in Taiwan. I know that this hanger has to be out there somewhere and I have exausted all of the local hanger buckets. I will pay $20 + shipping.

Why not try contacting them directly? Going to www.google.com and typing in "Avanti bicycle New Zealand" yielded the following result:

Seems like you should be able to order exactly what you want (maybe get 2 or 3) and in just a little bit of time you'll have it in your hot little hands.

That looks like the hanger on my Sampson. Give Eric a call, he's right in Colorado.

I have cut to the chase many times. I contacted a bike shop in NZ and they put me incontact with someone. I gave him the year and model of my bike and he sent a hanger. The hanger he sent me was nothing like the bent one that I have. I have not heard back from them after I told them that it wasn't the right size or shape. Once again, customer service is best done by the customer. But thank you for the reply and Avanti thanks you for the faith in their competence ;)

If you still havent found one, and your all out of ideas, id make a journey to a big town and find a machine shop. They should be able to make you one for relatively cheap, and while your at it, id have them make 3-4. Just take them the old one and in about a half an hour you'll have new ones...
Have you tried a Raleigh dealer?Spoke Wrench

You know, the devil is in the details, but that looks like a Raleigh R700 hanger to me. I also seem to remember that Raleigh had some kind of Kinesis connection with their frames. Can't hurt.

Any Raleigh or Diamondback dealer in the US should be able to order the correct hanger for you. The 32-00-262 looks similar from the front, but has a lip on the back rear edge that you don't want.
