|What is the safest limit on spacers for 1 1/8 carbon steerer tube?

|On my Reynolds Ouzo Pro, the spacer limit is 2cm, but Easton states their limit is 3cm.
What fork are you using?

|Good question - what about the Colnago Star Fork ??
I currently have about 3cm as I am still trying to settle on a stem height before cutting.
|I can't say I know of any manf. that allows for more than 3cm...||Cima Coppi|

|of spacer stack height on a 1" carbon steerer tube like the Colnago would have. If the stem seems just about right, but you can go 0.5 cm lower, do so, and put a 0.5 cm spacer above the stem. This will allow you to not have to cut the steerer tube, and some say it adds a bit more rigidity to the steerer tube by having the top of the stem reside below the top of the steerer tube.
This is the great thing about spacers, one can really play around with stem height with out ever cutting the steerer tube.
