Curious to know if anyone has any exp. with the Calypso tires from these guys. Checked out the reviews section and came up with zilch. What are your impressions? Durable? Good ride? Are they race worthy?

They make the best cross tires in the world. Don't know about road, but it stands to reason.

I need to correct my statement. I was thinking about Dugast. How I mixed the two up I don't know.

Every day. It's a blast. I comute to work and blast around in the State forest around here. Mostly hard pack dirt roads and of course the trails. Lots of big stones too. So far the Shamals are doing great. Everything else is great also, I'm very happy. Mostly because I'm riding again.

I have Calypsos on my TCR. I would have to say that they ride typical to high thread (127 TPI) tires - smooth riding, race worthy and grippy, but also succumb to the drawbacks of high-thread tires (wear faster).

But they're cheaper than most high-thread tires, ride nice, and come in a cool art nouveau tin, so I can't complain!
