|Hi, I´m about to build up a bike using carbon parts whereever possible. I have already everything I need except for carbon brake calipers. The only company I know that makes them is "CarbonCrew", Germany. They want to charge me EUR 700 = US$ 600 for a pair. Has anyone an alternative for me ? For those who want to spend the money on that piece of art: They don´t have a webpage. Phone is: +49/7144-890290.
And check out www.ax-lightness.de. They make the lightest and most beautiful saddles on the globe.

|Not sure about calibers but the new issue of Velonews says Martec in Asia is making a one piece all carbon stem. I'd like to see that. As you know most carbon stems are just a carbon tube glued to aluminum end pieces.|

|I know that lew did make a pair of carbon calipers. I think the weight was roughly 250grams/pair. But just then when I checked their website (www.lew-usa.com) they make no mention of them. You could try contacting them... |
BTW, thanks so much for the saddle link; 69 grams for a saddle?!
And I thought my flight evolution at 150grams was light (considering that its quite a few years old now)!
Good luck! And if you find any other sites like that one let us know won't you :-)
