105 pedals(2 posts)

105 pedalsmas

Anyone out there with any experience from the Shimano 105 pedals...? I´ve read quite a few of the comments on the Ultegra pedal, and it seems to me that people are not that overjoyed. I´m used to a 515 mtb pedal. I ride mainly offroad, but have now bought a cheap, but still ok, roadbike. Any help would be welcome.

Thank you very much!

I use the PD-5500 pedals. They were the Shimano 105 pedals a year or so ago. Currently, the 105 pedals are the PD-535s. The 535s have a plastic body, while the 5500s have steel (or aluminum, I forgot) body. If I had a choice, I would get Looks or Times....but these pedals came with my gruppo. They work ok, need a little lube to avoid those instances when your foot could get stuck at the most crucial moments. Overall, an OK pedal for its price.
