Columbus EL-OS Dent Tolerance??alexfr99

I am the proud and stupid owner of a lovely columbus EL-OS frame. Today it fell over into a metal door jamb and left a dent on the top tube. The dent is about 1/32 to 1/16 inch deep and chipped some paint. The top tube is 54 cm and the dent is about 16 cm away from the seat post. As far as I can tell there is no deflection of the overall tube and as I pinged the tube around the dent with a fingernail the sound characteristics were the same. Should i be concerned or should i put a bandaid on it mark myself stupid and forget about it? Any input would help to ease the highly pissed and depressed state in which i currently find myself......thanks all

The dent does not sound serious at all. Do not worry about it - I know this is hard. The worst part is knowing how stupid the accident was and remembering every time you look at your frame. I know, I once dented a Tange Prestige frame in the same location to about the same degree. I just touched it up with paint and put a sticker over top. It was fine and I believe the guy I sold it to is still riding it. I also have an EL/OS frame which I still ride that has a strange dent high on the seat stay from a crash. It is fine as well.
