Which Flight Deck?(4 posts)

Which Flight Deck?CrankE

Ok I admit it, I'm confused. I've got two bikes I'd like to buy Flight Decks computers for and would appreciate some advice.

The first is a 2000 Klein Quantum Race with Flight Deck compatible hoods, one button on each lever. Which model is the correct one?

The second bike is an '02 Giant OCR 2 with 105, Flight Deck compatible hoods. Both buttons on the right hood. Again, which model works?

I'm planning on using a wireless setup for both, if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, had it backwards.

The 2000 Klein has Ultegra levers with two buttons on the right
The 2002 Giant has 105 levers with one button on each side.

Anyone's advice on which computer/ wireless harness to get would be appreciated.

The wireless sensor harness part number is SM-6501. It won't work on your Klein unless you acquire brake hoods that have one button bump on each hood. The correct wired harness to fit your Klein as it is today is SM-6500. A single SC-6501 computer head can be programmed to work on both bikes.

You can only go wireless on one of them - the one with one button on each lever - you want the SM-6501 harness
For the other bike with two buttons on one lever, you want the SM-6500 wired harness

For the display head, get the SC-6501
