Triple crank vs double crankMath's

I want to konw wath is the best: double crank or triple crank. I'm not in a mountain region.

If you aren't exposed to sustained climbing, or even shorter climbs in excess of, say, 12 %, then skip the triple crank. It is unnecessary weight (a little unnecessary expense). If in doubt, get a 52/39 (or 53/39) in front and a decently low geared rear cassette (12-27ish) and you'll have all but the few lowest gears that you would otherwise get on a triple.
I use the triple for the gears in the middle not the extremesdzrider

I got used to a straight block when I was young and fit. Now I'm older and use the triple so I can have the 42-14 through 42-17 I feel that I need for spinning on level terrain and still have easy gears to bail me out on harder climbs.
