Capacity of 8sp Ultegra Rearflybyvine

I have an old 8sp Ultegra Rear Derailleur on my "beater" and want to put a larger cassette on it so I can pull the kids trailer etc. Anyone know what largest cog and max capcity it can handle ?

I can';t find any info on old Shimano stuff on their web site.

Thanks

I believe it's 27, but I installed a 30t cog and with adjustments everything worked fine.
Rated for 27(??), but I know it works with 28Retro

Seems to me it's rated for 27, but mine shifts with a 28, and it looks like it might handle a little more.

You might want to check out www.sheldonbrown.com for custom built cassettes and/or individual cogs available for sale.
