as campy have no doubt offered zipp a fat amount of money to cease production while they corner the carbon crank market. zipp may be making them only for campy.

but the mouse that roared, aka FSA, are taking up a battle over patent legalities with campy.

meanwhile campy are holding back production as the initial batches have brought up some embarassing problems.

the mind boggles....

I read their website carefully, but came away confused. Are their Pro cranks carbon, or aluminum and carbon. They refer to them as Carbon composite, but make reference to comments about FSA cranks from other mfgs that confused the issue a bit for me.

The carbon pros are carbon arms w/ aluminum spider.

The carbon pro TEAMs are all carbon.

... dunno the whys or wherefores... but apparently not.

I've got a set of ZIPP cranks and can say that compared to other splined cranks, they are a bit of a bear to set up right... perhaps ZIPP is retooling the design...

We abide.

There was a post recently that flat out said Zipp was making the Campy carbon crank.

Anyone have confirmation of that???

TIA
