to finish a small resto i am stuck trying to find a cinelli 65 (criterium) bend road bar. 42 or 44 cm preferred but beggars cant be choosers. must be in good condition.

but most importantly it must be the 26.4 (old cinelli diameter) thickness.

within the US only as my funds have run dry - what started out as a bearing overhaul ended up as a complete paint strip and labor of love. you know the story.

appreciate any help or info in finding one. will leave the bike to you in my will if you donate an oldie but goodie non gratis. hint - rare italian steel with a twist.
I got your Criterium bar RIGHT HERE...Cima Coppi

Just checked on E-Bay, and there is one up for auction right now (However in 38cm width):

I see them often on E-Bay. Also checkout Bike Pro. The link is:

They should have them in your size.

Good luck.

I checked out the price of the 65's on Bike Pro's website. $28.99!!!!! How can that be beaten!

Check it out. They're even available in the 26.4mm clamp diameter.

you are the man.naff geezer

I have always had great fondness for the Giro d'Italia, much more so than the TdF. Coppi dominated the Giro with great ferosity in the late 40's and early 50's, winning it 5 times (done only by Alfredo Binda, Coppi and Merckx). The organizers later determined (I do not know when) they would award a special prime for the first rider over the highest climb of the Giro each year to honor Fausto.

That prime is call the Cima Coppi. Now you know the story.

BTW, the Cima Coppi in the Giro this year is the Passo di Pordoi, which will be climbed on May 29. It should be a great stage to watch on OLN!!

but was a bit worried about the drill holes as i am on the hefty side (180lb - 5'10"). not sure of they are safe and sound with a few holes in them.

at 38cm i could live with them or at least try.

thanks for lookin'
