I need an opinion, FAST! Giant MCR vs Trek Y-Foil?LuckyStrike

I have a unique opportunity that may not last very long. I have found someone selling a Giant MCR. Unfortunately he's looking for a decision by tomorrow. I had been seriously shopping for a Trek Y-Foil (and I have found a couple I'm considering), but then I stumbled upon a '98 Giant MCR. This is the carbon monocoque aero-frame similar to the Corima Fox. It really looks like a great bike. According to what I've learned so far both frames have very similar weights. Does anyone know about these bikes? Is one superior in any ways to the other. I really want an aerodynamic bicycle for next year (I plan on doing some long endurance rides where large group drafting won't be very common).
Any and all info and opinions would be greatly appreciated!

(Picture posted is not the exact bike I'm looking at.)
not that I have any practical information to offer...mantissa

... but if I were looking to get an aero frame and stumbled across someone unloading an MCR, I'd snap it up, if only because they're so rarely seen. Actually I'd love to have the money to have one in addition to my so-called "normal" bikes -- such frames are becoming a cool part of cycling history, thanks to the lovely UCI. Looks as though it'd be a bit more aero than the trek, and Y-foils are easily found in comparison. Good luck - post a picture if you get it (despite the thrashing you'll get from the double-triangle frame police on this site).

wow, that's a great looking, wait, its only a great frame and cool wheels. Everything else must be so heavy. Why is that stem on there? This bike must weigh a ton
but I'd choose it over Trek in a heartbeat!

I also have a MCR frameset for salestr8dum1

Can't help you with these questions, but I am interested in a 54cm Y Foil frame only. Any help?
