Eggbeater Pedals(5 posts)

Eggbeater Pedalstubs

I have recently been using Crank Bros. Eggbeater pedals. If anyone here has considered these and thought.....NO, MTB only, you just might be missing out on the best pedal ever made. They are of course very light. Mine weighed 306 gms complete with cleats and fixings for the pair. My C Record Pro-fits are 363 gms. Bearings are pure silk, and interestingly, a long way apart. And the pedals are SO stiff! You can really feel the benifit climbing and sprinting. Click-in step-out is the best you can get...very light both ways, and they don't squeak or creak! If anyone wants more info......best way to set up shoes etc, just post a request here. Crank Brothers web site (www.crankbrothers.com) is also worth a look.

A hearty second to those comments. I used eggbeaters on my cross bike this year and was very impressed. I particuliarly liked the playfull, yet snug float offered. Perfect for quick dismounts and remounts. In fact, I'm considering a pair for the upcomming triathlon season to replace my existing speedplays. Great product.
