Thinking of getting a pair of these pedals.(CX7) Anybody have any feedback good or bad. I have A pair OF P296'S which I am very happy with but need a new pair for another bike. I can get a pair for 150.00 new. Seems to be a good deal.

The CX7 is a really complicated pedal. More complicated than a pedal needs to be. It was like a three hour class to learn how to adjust them. I felt like LOOK should have given some kind of diploma for sitting through it. They are a really good idea for people with chronic knee pain, or pronation, but if regular pedals already work for you, there's no need to get the super-adjustable ones.

I heard Time was coming out with a new pedal that was quite a bit lighter, lower foot to spindle distance and cheaper than the current Equipe Pro (which I love, but are relatively heavy and expensive). Know anything about these?

There is a picture of the new Time design at cyclingnews.com

As far as I can determine this pedal is still a prototype, but recall reading a release date of May 2002.

That is a great price on the CX7's. For 20 grams more, you might look at the P396, which you can get for 82.50 + shipping at www.totalcycling.com.

I have the CX7's, 206's, and 296's. The CX7's are good if, and only if, you need to adjust your Q or foot angle. Other than that, they are the same old look pedal.

I actually like the 206's the best. Very simple, very wide platform, somewhat aero, and don't squeek. Plus, to my amazement they are the lightest, even lighter than the CX7.

Save about $300 and get the 206, unless you REALLY need the adjustability.

I am replacing my old carbon 176s and have been told the bearings are better in the 296 and 396 than less expensive models. My original white looks are still in service on a bike that I sold with over 20000mi. on them. The 176s have less than half that on them and one of them has bad bearings.
