Been using them for some time - work fine. Also available with a speed link that also seems to hold up well.

In my opinion Sachs makes a better chain. The powerlink is a pretty cool device that helps with chain removal too. I've been using a PC89R with Ultegra/DuraAce 9spd for a while now, works great.

I was unhappy with this combo. I had a D/A chain that I failed to lube after a wet ride and it got a few rusty spots. I put on a PC-89R because that was what the shop had. My shifting was not as crisp, I made small adjustments, back and forth, and it just never got dialed in. I was really scratching my head becuase I could not get it adjusted right. After about 400-500 miles of this I remembered that the shifting problems started when I put on the new chain. I ordered a new D/A chain and the shifting was great again. BTW, I use a Powerlink in my Shimano chains, road and MTB.
Shifts great and has longer wear life. (NM)Highgear
