i've got a 2 year old landshark 853 frame with 93 chorus components and nuke proof hubs w/velocity deep v rims. threaded fork and stem. how could i lighten this bike up. how much weight can i save on a newer updated group and/or going to a non threaded fork/stem combo. what about the wheels? thanks. i'm not a racer, but anything to help me go faster(besides riding more!) can't hurt.
Nothing worth the money.nestorl

Changing components and wheels from what you have will save you less than one pound. NOT WORTH IT. It will save you a few seconds one manu many many miles. and will not affect your percivable mph. Instead...look at your Body Mass Index and see if you can shed 3 pounds of fat. Get your BMI to 22! THAT! will make a difference!
